Bawtry Hall has a range of extra facilities that are provided to make your time at the Hall enjoyable.
Books & Gift Shop
We have more than doubled our display shelves to bring our customers a fabulous range of Christian books to suit all ages, a super range of children’s gifts with a Christian theme – some at only “pocket money” prices.
Christian gifts with a difference for those hard to buy for people plus an extensive range of Christian greeting cards. Make sure you bring some spending money when you visit Bawtry Hall! We also provide a book ordering service.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. The shop is usually open on weekends but please phone first to confirm.
The Command Room
The Command Room – used by the R.A.F. Group 1 Bomber Command as their Operations Room from 1941 until as recently as the Falklands War – was refurbished during 2005 and has the capacity to hold 200 people.
Bawtry Hall served the Royal Air Force from 1941 – 1984; first as HQ for No. 1 Group, Bomber command during and after WWII, then as Strike Command HQ up to and including the later stages of the Cold War. The famous bombing of the airfield at Port Stanley by Vulcan bombers from RAF Finningley during the Falklands conflict was co-ordinated from the room now serving more peaceful purposes as our largest conference room, known as ‘The Command Room’.
The room has been decorated in a style reminiscent of the wartime period and seats 200 conferees in a variety of seating formats. The room is air-conditioned and a variety of audio-visual aids are available.

Woodland Car Park
Bawtry Hall has ample parking for all our guests. The woodland car park provides 25 extra car-parking spaces at Bawtry Hall, much appreciated by our mid-week visitors. Access to the woodland car park is round the west side of the Hall, turning left and first right when entering the site from Tickhill Road.
