Children

Children are very welcome – cots and high chairs are available by prior arrangement.

  • Under 2’s Free
  • 2 to 5 75% reduction
  • 6 to 12 50% reduction
  • 13 and over as per Adult rate

House Rules

  • Smoking is not allowed inside the building.
  • All using Bawtry Hall are asked to show consideration for others.
  • Please report breakages to the Manager or the deputy as soon as possible. Those responsible may be asked to replace any breakage.
  • The Manager reserves the right to ask any person or persons not adhering to these rules to vacate the premises.
  • We regret that pets (other than Guide Dogs) are not allowed inside the house.
  • Groups are responsible for providing supervision of their children at all times.
  • Hall users are asked to park with care and be mindful of access requirements.

Bookings

  • A provisional booking will be held for two weeks to allow written confirmation to be sent with the appropriate deposit.
  • In order to confirm your booking, a non-returnable deposit of £5 pp per night (up to a maximum of £500) should be sent along with the completed booking form.
  • Space is limited and organisers are asked to make as realistic an assessment as possible of the size of your conference when reserving places.
  • We would ask you to bear in mind the following cancellation policy when booking, and when taking deposits from the members of your party.
  • You may wish to take out Cancellation Insurance when making the booking. Details are available on request.

Cancellation Policy

On cancellation of booking and reduction in numbers:

  • More than 6 months notice: loss of only your deposit.
  • Less than 6 months notice: 20% of full fees for those not attending.
  • Less than 4 months notice: 40% of full fees for those not attending.
  • Less than 2 months notice: 60% of full fees for those not attending.
  • Less than 1 months notice: 80% of full fees for those not attending.

Final numbers should be confirmed in writing at least 2 weeks before the conference starts. The Conference Manager should be advised by telephone of any changes in numbers that occur within these 2 weeks.

Guests with Special Requirements

  • There are a limited number of ground floor rooms. Please check with the Conference Manager concerning the availability of these.
  • We are happy to cater for special diets, if requested in writing at least two weeks in advance,
  • During the month prior to your conference a list of bedrooms allocated to you will be sent. This should then be returned two weeks before the Conference along with details of any special requirements you may have.

Normal mealtimes are:

  • Breakfast 8.30am
  • Lunch 1.00pm.
  • Evening Meal 6.00 pm 7.00pm on Friday
  • Supper Drinks 9.30pm

Although we would prefer it if groups could adhere to the above meal times, if necessary, with the agreement of the Conference Manager the times of meals can be altered to suit your requirements.

A “celebration” meal can be provided to suit your particular occasion. The Conference Manager and the Chef would be pleased to discuss various options and the cost. Sample menus are available on request.

If you have any residential problems during your stay with us, please do inform the duty host
Facilities

The following facilities are available to our guests:-

  • TV room with DVD
  • Tea and coffee making facilities
  • Songs and Hymns of Fellowship Volume 1 (Books)
  • Enlarged gift shop (open office hours)
  • Gardens with lake
  • NEW FOR 2011 – We now have a CHAPEL for the use of our guests

The following are also available at additional cost – check with the reception office for details:

  • Telephone
  • Digital projector
  • Laundry facilities
  • Fax machine (incoming only)
  • Photocopying
  • Laminator
  • Wireless Internet available in certain areas of the Hall

Additional Information for Conference Organisers

  • Our host will endeavour to meet any requirements which you find you may need during your conference.
  • As well as being a Conference and Training Centre, Bawtry Hall is also involved in a range of local and global mission activities. If you wish, it would be possible to arrange for a member of the Management  Team to share with your group about the wider ministry of the Hall. If you wish this to be included in your programme please ask a member of our team.
  • The Sitting Room and Entrance Hall are available to your group and other visitors to the Hall for relaxing in.
  • You will be allocated a suitable room for your conference. Additional seminar rooms may be hired if you require them. Please do not use the Public Rooms (i.e. the Sitting Room and Entrance Hall) as meeting rooms.
  • Please ask for advice if you wish to display any notices. Please don’t use blue-tack or drawing pins directly on wallpaper or paint work.
  • For the security of our guests the windows in our ground floor conference rooms are kept locked.  Please ask if you need the windows in the ground floor conference rooms opened. Please also ensure that all windows are closed and lights and heaters turned off when rooms are vacated.
  • In case of emergency after office hours, you will be able to contact the Duty Manager by phone. Please ensure your delegates know how to contact you during the night.
  • Access in and out of the building when the Main Door is locked is via the Side Door in the lobby to the side of the main Dining Room.
  • Dining Room Lobby. This is fitted with a combination lock – you will be given the current number on arrival. We leave it to your judgement to decide how and to whom the number may be disclosed
